RESOURCE PLANNER

A.S.P. is seeking a Resource Planner to manage staff scheduling to ensure smooth operations. The successful candidate will work with integrity, respect, and responsibility, maintaining confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Staffing all open hours and communicating to ensure proper staffing levels.
- Designing, maintaining, and implementing schedules across all job sites as required.
- Maintaining and providing reports, ensuring electronic reports are transmitted as per requirements.
- Documenting work hours, time differences, and employee changes accurately in online systems.
- Assigning and re-assigning staff based on site requirements and procedures.
- Filling vacancies due to absences and communicating with Human Resources regularly.
- Tracking and submitting additional costs related to training and unbillable overtime.
- Analyzing scheduling trends.
- Maintaining communication with all operational stakeholders.
- Reporting non-compliance with policies, procedures, or collective agreements if applicable.
- Communicating employee lateness, illness, or positive feedback to the Manager, Resource Planning.
- Resolving employee complaints promptly or referring them to management, HR, or Area Managers.
- Disseminating duties to staff when assigning tasks.
- Working days/evenings/nights and weekends as needed.
- Building partnerships across all organizational levels and working effectively with employee groups.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (Grade 12 or GED) or equivalent.
- Experience as a scheduler, planner, or staffing coordinator in a fast-paced 24/7 environment is preferred.
- Experience with database management, preferably in scheduling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, MS Outlook, and typing skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and multiple tasks professionally.
- Understanding of interdepartmental relationships and needs related to resource planning.
- Full-time position with potential weekend work.
- 12-hour continental rotation shifts.
