About The Role

Apprentice Carpenter, based in Manitoba, Canada, with commute to Manitoba, Canada, is joining Oaken Builders, a growing residential contractor. We value craftsmanship, collaboration, respect, and integrity, and we support team members to grow into their full potential.

We are looking for an Apprentice Carpenter with at least one year of construction or carpentry experience. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills, learn from seasoned professionals, and apply your talent to meaningful projects. What You'll Do
  • Assist carpenters in framing, finishing, and installation work across custom residential projects
  • Learn to read and interpret construction drawings, gaining hands-on experience with layouts and measurements
  • Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and equipment under supervision
  • Support site preparation, material handling, and job site cleanup to keep projects running efficiently
  • Practice proper building techniques while continuously developing technical skills
  • Uphold safety standards, contributing to a secure and organized work environment
  • Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and accountability as you grow into greater responsibility
