Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and advice on regulatory, contractual and risk implications for housing-related initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies, plans, processes and practices ensuring alignment with contractual, regulatory, legislative requirements and BC Housing objectives.
  • Lead housing initiative projects, conduct independent research and analysis and manage external contractors.
  • Prepare recommendations and reports for senior leadership, the Executives and the Board of Commissioners.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, participate in working groups and foster relationships with government agencies.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
  • Considerable experience leading and managing business strategy, project management and communications.
  • Or an equivalent combination acceptable to the employer.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Sound knowledge of the affordable housing sector in British Columbia.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage project teams, exercise sound judgement, and coordinate execution of initiatives.
  • Demonstrated empathy, emotional intelligence and a collaborative approach to diverse stakeholders.
