Job description

Job Description

At Tsawwassen Animal Hospital, your career as a Registered Veterinary Technician comes with sea breezes, friendly faces, and a community that values connection. Nestled in beautiful Delta, BC — just a short drive to Vancouver — we offer the rare blend of peaceful surroundings and easy access to city life.

We’re a busy, progressive 3–4 doctor per day practice with a mission that extends beyond our walls. Along with caring for our cherished patients, we partner with our local animal shelter and O.W.L. wildlife rescue to help those who don’t have anyone else.
With 3–4 technicians on shift daily, you’ll be part of a strong, collaborative team that adapts, supports, and celebrates each other’s successes.

This full-time position (4 days/week, including some Saturdays) offers variety every day:

  • Acting as the surgical anchor, preparing and monitoring patients to ensure safe, efficient procedures
  • Delivering hands-on treatment room care, from medical treatments to patient monitoring
  • Leading RVT-specific appointments such as nail trims, DVM-directed blood draws, laser therapy and other technical procedures
  • Starting appointments with thorough TPR assessments and helping set each pet’s visit up for success

***Here, your training isn’t just appreciated — it’s essential to how we operate.***

We know RVTs are the heartbeat of patient care, and we make sure you’re supported with:

  • $26–$30/hour competitive pay
  • Comprehensive health coverage – medical, dental, and a wellness spending account
  • RRSP matching to support your future
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential mental health and well-being resources
  • Continuing Education allowance with paid CE days so you can learn and grow
  • Uniform allowance to keep you comfortable and prepared
  • Paid sick day allowance
  • Pet care discount
  • A positive workplace where your voice and expertise are valued
