Reporting to the Patient Care Manager – as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the RPN uses the nursing process to provide care to a patient or group of patients as assigned. 8 hour shifts, Monday through Sunday (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
Responsibilities are aligned with the role of a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting and include providing nursing care to patients, following the nursing process, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
Successful applicants are required to provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, completed within the past year, to be met within the first sixty (60) days of employment. Additionally, successful applicants are required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process, including providing an up-to-date immunization record to ensure compliance with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment. Northumberland Hills Hospital operates a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff.
