Job description

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Legion Wing.

In accordance with established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the RN/RPN practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and working collaboratively and in partnership with the interprofessional care team in the provision of person-centered and recovery-oriented care. The RN/RPN supports patients through transformative mental health treatments using a unique blend of clinical nursing expertise, specialized knowledge in psychedelic-assisted therapies and strong interpersonal skills. Designs, implements, and monitors individual treatment plans to maximize community functioning and reduce re-hospitalization. Works in close association with inter-professional mental health and substance use staff, emergency services, Indigenous partners, and community service providers. Enhances quality of life from the perspective of the client/family. Demonstrates expertise and leadership in nursing practice. Maintains and advances clinical competence.

Resume and Cover letter outlining MHSU experience, Ketamine administration, knowledge of psychedelic therapy or hold a certificate in Psychedelic Therapy. Willingness to obtain psychedelic therapy education.
