A healthcare provider in British Columbia is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care for patients with chronic and acute renal failure undergoing hemodialysis. The role involves working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have RN registration, current BCLS certification, and recent hemodialysis experience. This position necessitates effective communication skills, the ability to teach patients and their families, and strong organizational skills.

Reports to the Manager, Renal Services. Provides nursing care to patients with chronic and acute renal failure undergoing hemodialysis. Works both independently and interdependently as a member of the multidisciplinary team with other care providers. Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and their families through assessment of bio-psycho-social and learning needs and works collaboratively with patients/families to support and facilitate informed choice and self care.
Education, Training And Experience
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
Recent (within past 5 years) hemodialysis experience or completion of recognized program in Nephrology Nursing or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
