A major health care provider in Burnaby is seeking a Relief Part-Time Registered Nurse / Registered Psychiatric Nurse for Long Term Care at Fellburn Care Centre. This role involves providing direct, person-centered care in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, current BCCNM registration, and at least one year of relevant experience. The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42 - $59.52 / hour
We are currently looking to fill a Relief Part-Time opportunity for a Registered Nurse / Registered Psychiatric Nurse in Long Term Care at Fellburn Care Centre located in Burnaby, BC.
Fellburn Care Centre, a long-term care facility in Burnaby, BC, offers health care, recreation, and spiritual support to residents from diverse backgrounds with complex needs. With 81 publicly subsidized beds, we strive to enhance the quality of life for our residents through continuous improvements in care, including advanced medical services like peripherally inserted central catheters, intravenous hydration, and tracheostomy care. In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Nursing Practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) works collaboratively and in partnership with the interdisciplinary team in the provision of person‑centered care to diverse populations. This includes promoting resident/client choices, individualized care plans, encouraging resident/client and family involvement in care decisions and supporting continuity and consistency of care. Utilizing an outcome‑oriented approach and reflecting evidence‑informed practice, the RN/RPN provides direct nursing care designed to meet the needs of residents/clients and their families. Works in partnership with Licensed Practical Nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary team by sharing information, demonstrating and/or providing guidance on clinical care.
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). One (1) year’s recent, related gerontological nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Level 1 First Aid certificate.
