Job description

Pacific Fertility is hiring a Casual Registered Nurse - Peri-Operative or PARR located at our Edmonton location. This is a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care during surgical and procedural interventions within a fertility clinic setting. This position requires a blend of clinical competence, attention to detail, and compassionate communication to support patients throughout their surgical experience.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians during OR procedures and ensure a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment.
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
  • Adhere to and uphold all OR protocols, policies, and procedures in alignment with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strict compliance with infection prevention and control measures.
  • Participate in regular audits and quality improvement initiatives related to OR procedures and patient care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support seamless patient care and procedural outcomes.
Clinical and Patient Care Duties:
  • Demonstrate clinical competency in all patient interactions, maintaining sensitivity and professionalism throughout the care process.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
  • Must have at least 3 years of nursing experience
  • Must have Peri-operative or PARR experience
  • Experience working in an women’s health or reproductive environment is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate.
