The successful applicant may be eligible for an annual full-time incentive of up to $2,000 each year until 2025 as per MOU #31 of the current MNU collective agreement.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Two (2) years recent Medical and/or Surgical and/or ICU and/or Emergency and/or Operating Room nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years recent nursing experience with EKG and pressure monitoring required.
  • Nurses currently working on the unit will be deemed qualified.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Current CRNM registration required.
  • Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
  • Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.
  • Must have no contraindications that would limit the ability to perform in a magnetic field (e.g. Pacemaker, middle ear prosthesis, etc.). For more information call the staffing office.
  • Adult Conscious Sedation/Procedural Sedation Education must be obtained when the opportunity is scheduled by the employer, or as otherwise mutually agreed to between the nurse and employer.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing an I.V. required.
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.
