A healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Myron Thompson Health Centre, located in Sundre, Alberta. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, supporting patient well-being, and demonstrating critical thinking and leadership in various acute care settings. Provisional Permit holders can expect a pay range of $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Candidates should have strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and problem‑solving ability in a charge nurse role in an acute care setting. Significant experience in multiple acute clinical settings such as ER, acute care, med‑surg, cardiac. Current CARNA registration or the ability to acquire it before the start date. Current CPR for HCP. ACLS, TNCC, NRP, Lead 2 cardiac monitoring and CTAS are preferred. Myron Thompson Health Centre is in a rural community in west central Alberta. RNs work in a multidisciplinary team to provide nursing care in a blended acute/ER and continuing care environment. This environment is suitable for candidates who enjoy the challenge of providing a broad spectrum of nursing care and who have experience in such settings as ER, med‑surg, cardiac. The incumbent is also depended upon for leadership to LPNs and Health Care Attendants in caring for our acute and long‑term care clients. Myron Thompson Health Centre is an intimate team environment providing care with 14 acute care beds, 5 long term care beds, 4 restorative beds and a five‑stretcher emergency department. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well‑being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
