A healthcare organization in Alberta is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their inter-professional team. This role involves providing nursing services, developing client-centered care plans, and advocating for patients and families. Candidates should have an accredited nursing education, be registered or eligible for practice in Alberta, and possess strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills. The position offers a salary range of $43.26 to $59.21 per hour, with various shifts and the requirement of a driver's license.
Your Opportunity: If you are interested in working within an inter‑professional team playing a key role in linking the needs of Rural Home Care clients with appropriate health and community services, then this Registered Nurse position will be of interest to you. Based on the Continuing Care Case Management Competency Framework, you demonstrate ability in the areas of personal and professional accountability, systems thinking, facilitating creative thinking, communicating and building relationships. Using a person‑centered approach, you will develop a care plan supporting the client/family to identify needs, focus on strengths, set achievable personal health and self‑care goals and provide direct nursing care to individuals across the life span. In collaboration with the client/family, you will ensure services are provided and modified on an ongoing basis, based on client’s response to interventions, incorporating stewardship into service authorization. Please note that this position supports the communities 40km SE of the Calgary City Limits.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well‑being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour. Upon obtaining a full licence, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
