Interior Health Clinical Dietitian | Long-term & Acute care
Position Summary

We are hiring for a permanent part-time 0.82fte Registered Dietitian for Oliver, B.C. This position splits time between McKinney Place long‑term care facility, Sunnybank Centre long‑term care facility and acute care at the South Okanagan General Hospital. This position currently works 08:00‑16:00, Tuesday to Friday, but there is opportunity to amend the scheduled days of work. This is an autonomous and varied position, requiring Restricted Activity A, or a willingness to obtain.

About the position

As part of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Dietitian provides nutrition care and support to patients, residents, and groups in accordance with established standards. This role includes conducting assessments, developing care plans, monitoring progress, and delivering counseling and education. The Dietitian collaborates with other health professionals, contributes to practice guidelines and quality improvement initiatives, and advises food service staff on patient care and menu development.

Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Successful completion of an accredited hospital‑based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
  • Full registration as a Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
  • One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License.
