Regional Talent Acquisition Lead – Retail Operations
High Tide is seeking a Regional Talent Acquisition Lead for our retail operations to oversee recruitment strategies and execution within assigned regions across Canada. Reporting directly to the Recruitment Lead, this role will manage end-to-end recruitment for retail operations, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and delivering an exceptional candidate experience. The Regional Lead will act as a strategic partner to regional managers, driving innovative sourcing techniques and supporting workforce planning initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruitment for retail positions within assigned region, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Partner with Regional Managers and Store Leaders to forecast hiring needs and develop proactive talent pipelines.
- Lead regional recruitment calls and provide updates on hiring progress, challenges, and market insights.
- Implement creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent in competitive markets.
- Maintain strong relationships with local community networks, job boards, and educational institutions to support regional hiring goals.
- Act as a brand ambassador to promote High Tide’s employer value proposition.
- Ensure adherence to provincial employment laws, cannabis industry regulations, and company policies.
- Track and report recruitment metrics for the region using ATS and Smartsheet tools.
- Provide weekly and monthly updates on requisition status and candidate pipelines.
- Deliver a seamless candidate experience from application to onboarding.
- Support onboarding coordination for new hires in collaboration with HR and store leadership.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably in retail or high-volume environments.
- 1-2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of cannabis retail regulations across Canadian provinces (asset).
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field (asset).
- Proficiency in ATS systems, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Understanding of hiring of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workforce.
- RPR designation, an asset and/or ability to obtain RPR designation.
- Able to make sound business decisions and evidence-based recommendations to senior management.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
