Overview

Regional Operations Manager - Canada East (Open). Location: Grimsby, ON (RDA) - Welding equipment rental. Under the direction of the Regional Vice President and the operational directives set by the Vice President of Operations, the Regional Operations Manager contributes to the overall profitability of the company by maintaining a high standard of efficiency and effectiveness of all operations activities within the region, including fleet, parts, service, and operations process.

Sounds like a leadership role with responsibility for safety, process adherence, and coordination across multiple facilities within the region.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc health and safety guidelines.
  • Provide overall accountability for the region’s operations, including fleet distribution, service, parts, and adherence to standard processes and controls.
  • Indirect responsibility for all facilities within a region, including branches, yards, equipment centers, distribution centers and equipment/tools located in facilities.
  • Directly manage region operations staff (Regional Service Manager and Regional Parts Coordinator); indirect management of Regional Fleet Coordinator.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Branch Manager on collection efforts to meet company target DSO.
  • Assist District Manager in new hire training, onboarding, Airgas University and safety aspects of indoctrinating new branch associates.
  • Interface with District Manager on day-to-day branch management.
  • Manage multiple change programs within the region to drive standardization and efficiency.
  • Oversee regional training programs, including branch visits, audits, hands-on training and coaching to implement multiple change initiatives.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations, troubleshoot and resolve issues across all facilities in the region.
  • Coordinate with peers in other regions to implement and maintain corporate initiatives and programs.
  • Ensure all governmental regulatory requirements are met at all branches within the region.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience in a related discipline preferred. Related experience will be considered.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a related industry.
  • 5+ years working knowledge as an operational territory manager.
  • 5+ years management experience.
Licenses / Certifications
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
