Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to join our HR Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence (CoE). This role is a critical backfill for a high-volume portfolio, specifically focusing on Claims and Advisor roles. You will act as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor to the business, designing and delivering effective talent acquisition and diversity strategies. This is a 2-month initial contract with a strong possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.

Work Location: 100% Remote (Candidates across Canada are welcome, with a preference for those in the GTA/Toronto area for potential local events).

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Core Business Hours (37.5 hours/week).

Start Date: ASAP.

As a Recruiter IV, you will lead the development and execution of innovative talent strategies to target qualified active and passive candidates. You will act as a Talent Advisor for a designated portfolio, using deep market knowledge and organizational insights to upgrade talent and build robust diverse pipelines. This role requires a balance of high-volume execution and high-level stakeholder management, interacting frequently with senior management and executive leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnering: Act as the primary Talent Advisor for your portfolio, informing talent decisions with knowledge of external markets and internal business needs.
  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full lifecycle recruitment process, ensuring an optimal experience for both Hiring Managers and candidates.
  • Sourcing Innovation: Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies, leveraging industry best practices and market data to target niche and diverse talent.
  • Brand Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the organization’s value proposition through social media, networking, and industry events.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain and leverage strong relationships with HR partners, CoEs, and business stakeholders to consult on optimal sourcing approaches.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Analyze and leverage recruitment metrics to inform sourcing activities and provide actionable insights to hiring managers.
  • Risk & Compliance: Adhere to enterprise frameworks, interview methodologies, and industry regulations to maintain a culture of risk management and control.
  • Process Improvement: Stay current on emerging trends and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and recruitment tools.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Participate fully as a member of a collaborative 7-person team, contributing to the development of team skills through mentorship and sharing best practices.
  • Project Leadership: Lead or support special initiatives and research projects that strengthen the operating model and elevate service quality.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of recruitment experience, ideally with a mix of corporate and agency backgrounds.
  • Portfolio Management: Proven track record of managing high-volume recruitment portfolios (e.g., Claims, Advisors, or similar high-scale roles).
  • Stakeholder Exposure: Demonstrated experience as a TA Partner supporting executive-level managers and business unit leaders (High Business Acumen).
  • Operational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and strict SLAs.
  • Stability: A stable employment history (candidates with multiple short-term contracts may be disqualified).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Industry Experience: Prior experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
    • HR Education: Human Resources degree background or formalized HR training.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong preference for candidates with Workday (HRIS) experience.
    • Specialized Knowledge: Background in Insurance recruitment or Call Centre environments.
    • Bilingualism: Proficiency in both French and English is a significant asset.
