Overview

Global Real Assets Senior Consultant

Aon is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Real Assets team. This role will advise institutional clients, including pension funds and endowments, on real assets investments such as infrastructure, real estate, and natural resources. The Senior Consultant will provide strategic guidance, conduct manager due diligence, and help clients achieve their investment objectives.

What the day will look like

Coordinate various consulting projects in the tangible resources sector, connect with managers, and analyze investments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver investment research area work and client projects without supervision.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned institutional clients, providing advice on real assets strategy and implementation.
  • Prepare and deliver client reports, presentations, and educational materials.
  • Develop and present investment policy recommendations, portfolio construction strategies, and market outlooks.
  • Lead the research and recommendations for real asset investment opportunities.
  • Identify new investment opportunities, and present to Aon Investment Committee.
  • Oversee the performance of existing investments.
  • Provide leadership that contributes to the success of a practice/research area.
  • Identify and lead creative industry research projects and white papers.
  • Drive internal and external business development initiatives.
  • Contribute as a specialist consultant to the completion of RFPs and presentations for business development opportunities with prospective clients.
How this opportunity is different

The Senior Consultant will take the lead for educating clients, devising strategic plans for clients, program implementation and reporting, and building relationships within the real assets community, including speaking at conferences and writing white papers.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field; advanced degree or CFA/MBA is preferred.
  • Five to ten years private markets fund investing, principal investing, or related experience.
  • A strong understanding of investment concepts, specifically Private Markets and the financial markets.
  • Deep knowledge and contacts within Real Assets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced, demanding environment, with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to autonomously manage various projects, understand guidelines from various sources, and meet project deadlines.
  • Good judgment and ability to form decisions without complete information.
  • Strong analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
