Job summary

A leading transportation systems company is seeking an Installation Engineering Specialist in Toronto, ON. The successful candidate will apply their engineering expertise to projects aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s transit systems. Responsibilities include conducting engineering studies, managing project installations, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Ideal candidates should have an engineering degree and experience in design and project management, along with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Certified in AutoCAD and/or other design tools (desirable).
  • P.Eng certification or in progress (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards (desired).
  • Experience in managing projects with Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering studies including installation designs and method statements.
  • Review and sign off on installation designs.
  • Conduct site surveys for potential constraints.
  • Manage installation tools and conduct regular inspections.

Skills

Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics
Strong knowledge of railway products and services
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
5+ years of experience in design, drafting, or engineering production
