Compensation Range: $64,900-$81,000

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose

The Plant Quality Supervisor is a change agent, adhering and promoting EnerSys Core Values. Is responsible for leading and supervising the Plant Quality Assurance activities and processes, including working with multiple internal and external groups within Customers, Suppliers and Operations context.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate, cascade and adhere to Site and Quality G-Matrix plans.
  • Lead and support implementation of COGQ tools on NPIs and Series Production.
  • Work directly with the Plant staff to ensure quality systems are in place that meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure prompt responses to Customer complaints, Production and Supplier issues through problem solving tools and techniques.
  • Strong participation and adherence to EOS (EnerSys Operating System).
  • Experience with ERP and PLM systems.
  • Provide reporting and participation on Staff and QA meetings and reviews.
  • Interface across Regional Quality Assurance areas to ensure process efficiencies.
  • Ensure proper staffing and skillset of Plant QA personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and their requirements.
  • Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Mechanical and Electrical assembly and test techniques.
  • Ability to understand EnerSys roles, responsibilities, departments.
  • Strong auditing, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Must be a problem solver, self-starter able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple, changing priorities.
Education and Experience
  • Four-year degree in a Business or Technical program or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in a Quality Assurance environment.
  • Training in related techniques such as Six Sigma, SPC, Lean Manufacturing.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of the Plant Quality Assurance department.
Travel Requirement
  • Travel to other Sites or Offices (around 15%).
Language Skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
