Job Title: Quality Solution Technician, Level 3

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Defense, Aerospace & Commercial Executive Advisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Quality Solution Technician, Level 3 to join our team. This role bridges the gap between sales, engineering, and production by identifying the best solutions for our aerospace customers. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in quoting, solution development, and ensuring that New Product Introduction (NPI) and production processes align with customer requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Solution Development

1. Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, challenges, and project goals.
2. Analyze customer specifications and recommend the best cable and wire harness solutions.
3. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and cost estimates to support the sales team.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize solutions that balance cost, performance, and manufacturability.

Quoting & Cost Analysis

1. Develop accurate and competitive quotes based on materials, labor, and production capabilities.
2. Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative materials, design optimizations, or process improvements.
3. Ensure all quotes comply with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and company pricing strategies.
4. Work with NPI teams to ensure a smooth transition from design to production.
5. Provide technical guidance to production teams, addressing manufacturability and assembly concerns.
6. Support First Article (FA) and prototype builds, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.

Quality & Compliance

1. Ensure all solutions meet aerospace industry regulations (AS9100, IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-spec, etc.).
2. Work closely with the Quality team to address customer concerns, implement corrective actions, and improve processes.
3. Participate in design and process reviews to ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are met.
4. Act as a technical liaison between customers, sales, engineering, and production teams.
5. Support customer audits, technical discussions, and troubleshooting efforts.
6. Provide training and technical expertise to internal teams and external customers when needed.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
2. 3+ years of experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or quoting role within aerospace or manufacturing.
3. Strong understanding of aerospace industry standards and regulations (AS9100, IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-spec, etc.).
4. Experience in wire harness and cable assembly design, manufacturing, and cost analysis is highly preferred.
5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical, commercial, and operational considerations.
7. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
8. Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and production teams.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems.
