Job Overview

The Quality Control/Finish Plumber is responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring that all plumbing systems are installed to the highest standards. This role focuses on overseeing the final phase of plumbing installations, ensuring that all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and according to code and safety regulations. The individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, quality checks, and making final adjustments to plumbing systems, ensuring the job meets customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and Test Plumbing Systems: Conduct thorough inspections of all plumbing systems, ensuring that the installation of pipes, fixtures, and fittings meet local building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Final Adjustments: Perform finishing tasks including securing and tightening plumbing systems, checking for leaks, and ensuring water pressure is optimal.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies within plumbing installations before final approval. This may include fixing leaks, adjusting pipe fittings, or making corrections to improperly installed components.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all relevant plumbing codes, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations during all phases of plumbing work.
  • Coordinate with Team: Work closely with other construction or plumbing team members, providing guidance and support for final installations, and ensuring that the final output matches blueprints or specifications.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete necessary reports on quality checks, inspections, and adjustments. Document issues encountered and solutions implemented.
  • Customer Interaction: Occasionally, meet with clients to inspect completed work and ensure satisfaction, offering recommendations or advice where needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback and suggestions for improving quality control processes and ensuring efficient plumbing installations.

  • Proven Plumbing Experience: Extensive experience as a plumber, with a solid understanding of plumbing systems, installations, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Plumbing Codes: Familiarity with local, state, and national plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all installations meet the highest quality standards.

Education And Experience

  • Certification in plumbing (e.g., Journeyman or Master Plumber) is a plus.
