Job Description

The job requires the employee to work various shifts as part of the Utility functions. The primary function is to assist the Food Safety Quality Assurance Department in ensuring overall food safety and quality in their assigned areas by following regulatory, company, and customer policies, programs, and work instructions. This role involves conducting accurate inspections and documentation of product food safety and quality. Responsibilities include:

  • Auditing plant programs, which may include but are not limited to: pre-op sanitation (swabbing), product and room temperatures, product inspections (including net weight monitoring, leaker inspections, label verifications, residual oxygen testing), product sampling, grinding, analyzing, metal detector verifications, assisting with oven validation probing, and GMPs.
  • Ensuring all products meet company specifications and are produced in a wholesome manner that meets company standards.
  • Monitoring cleaning procedures for two buildings, focusing on process flow and proper steps during cleaning, and communicating breakdowns or failures to PSSI Supervisors for immediate correction and follow-up.
  • Monitoring oven and dry chamber cleaning and other related responsibilities.
  • Performing miscellaneous Utility functions as assigned.

Must be able to complete basic math calculations and have good attention to detail. The role requires physical work, including standing, bending, walking, and stair climbing. All other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Be competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies.
  2. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  3. Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime depending on production demands.
  4. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 3rd shift: 10:30pm to 7am
Qualifications
