Overview

Quality Assurance Auditor (Permanent Full Time) – Winnipeg, Manitoba. Expected Salary: $67,021 to $83,776. Additionally, an extensive compensation package is provided.

Babcock is now in the process of establishing its Rotary Wing division and will be providing engineering support to Ascent Helicopters as they deliver life-saving aero-medical operations to the Government of British Columbia.

In this role, you will
  • Manage activities relating to the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Monitor Babcock minimum standards for conformance.
  • Report findings of non-conformance under the Quality Assurance Program to the QA Manager and maintain records of findings and corrective actions.
  • Distribute findings of non-conformance to the appropriate manager for corrective action.
  • Monitor corrective action plans and follow-up actions to ensure timely and effective completion.
  • Monitor all technical and regulatory data, including company procedures, processes, forms, and other documents, ensuring they remain current and effective.
  • Monitor the calibration of precision tools and test equipment and maintain calibration records.
  • Ensure maintenance records, service difficulty reports, and internal audit reports are completed per the MPM.
  • Monitor the company training program to ensure it remains current and effective.
  • Monitor personnel training records to ensure they remain current.
  • Monitor Certifying Authority records and authorizations in accordance with the MPM.
  • Monitor activities for compliance with the MPM and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational and maintenance managers to address concerns raised under the Quality Assurance program.
  • Travel throughout Canada as required to maintain the Quality Program.
  • Provide training as required.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous auditor experience or training would be an asset.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports and making presentations.
  • Eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and ITAR Clearance.
  • Meets requirements of CAR 573.03(1)(c) and subsection 573.03(6) (asset).
  • Valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license (asset).
  • Experience working on CAMP, Winair, or other similar maintenance programs (asset).
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken.
  • Physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods and to walk or stand for extended periods.
  • Dexterity to work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to undertake shift work.
  • Legal right to work in Canada and/or ability to obtain a Canadian passport.
  • Valid driver’s license.
