QUALITY ASSURANCE What We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

Epic is seeking a QA Lead to join one of our art content pipeline teams. You will be leading a group of QA professionals and collaborating with Artists, Tech Art, Designers, Programmers, and Producers to manage quality and testing efforts for several content pipelines. In addition to overseeing testing efforts and quality processes, you will manage and mentor QA team members and provide coaching and feedback to help the team succeed.

In this role, you will

• Coordinate effort and evaluate the performance of appropriate internal and external resources for the testing, documentation, and research of issues
• Liaison with other disciplines and actively represent QA in planning, discussions, and development work
• Build high level test strategies to cover multiple features in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and feedback to team members, helping them be successful in their current role and facilitating their career growth
• Maintain an expert knowledge of the Fortnite ecosystem and its game modes
• Advocate for the player; be the voice of the quality in the room

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of QA management experience
• 5+ years of software / games testing experience
• Solid understanding of test methodologies and iterative development
• Excellent time-management and multitasking capabilities
• Skilled writer of detailed issue documentation and test plans
• Strong communication skills, ability to advocate
• Experience using qualitative metrics to identify risks and quality gaps
• Expert user of issue tracking tools such as JIRA
• Familiarity with 3D asset creation in games at scale
