Responsibilities of our Registered Psychologist include:

  • Provide psychological assessment, diagnosis (where applicable), and treatment for individuals and/or couples during pregnancy and postpartum
  • Support clients experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), birth trauma, fertility-related challenges, grief/loss, and other major life transitions
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions such as CBT, ACT, IPT, or trauma-focused therapies
  • Facilitate group programs or workshops to promote perinatal mental health and resilience
  • Collaborate with other PUSH Mama Care providers to ensure integrated, client-centered care
  • Contribute to the development of educational resources and online content for parents
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all professional and ethical standards of practice

We require experience including:

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical, Counselling, or School Psychology
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO)
  • Authorized areas of practice that include Clinical Psychology with Adults (and Couples, if applicable)
  • Professional liability insurance coverage
  • 1–3 years of clinical experience, ideally with perinatal or family populations
  • Training or continuing education in perinatal mental health strongly preferred

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of perinatal mental health, attachment theory, and family systems
  • Experience supporting clients through postpartum depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment to parenthood
  • Ability to work from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and inclusive perspective
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build trust and rapport with clients
  • Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and formulation skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt/prioritize in a constantly changing environment
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to care
  • Passion for empowering families to thrive during one of life’s most transformative stages

Pay: $130.00-$140.00 per hour
