Job Description
  • Minor carpentry repairs for furniture, desks, cabinets, etc.
  • Electrical repairs such as replacing lamps and lenses in light fixtures.
  • Plumbing repairs such as leaky faucets, clogged drains, etc.
  • Winter maintenance such as shoveling walkways, sidewalks, and exterior stairs, sanding / salting of entrances.
  • Minor renovations such as spot patching of walls and painting.
  • Yard work such as spring clean up, grass cutting and weed trimming.
  • Minor repairs for dock equipment such as dock doors, clean out dock levelers pits, dock shelter repairs, etc.
  • Janitorial services not ordinarily performed by the cleaning contractor as required for cleaning up spills.

  • Must have an understanding of everyday building and property repairs and recognize when maintenance or a repair needs to be done.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Skilled in the use of simple hand tools (shovels, brooms, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.) and small power tools (i.e., hand drills, Skil saws, weed trimmers, lawn mowers, etc.).
  • Good communication skills are an asset.
