A leading Canadian retailer is seeking a Promotional Optimization Consultant for its Calgary branch. The role involves strategic planning to optimize promotional activities, consultation with Merchant and Marketing teams, and preparing strategy reviews. Candidates should have 3-5 years of relevant experience, a degree in Business or similar, and proficiency in MS Office tools including Power BI. A commitment to diversity and inclusion within the workspace is essential.
Reporting to the Manager, Promotional Optimization, the Promotional Optimization Consultant’s (POC’s) primary function is strategic planning and optimization of promotional activity at Mark’s. The POC leverages expertise across merchandising, marketing and analytics teams to build strategy and recommendations that maximize the efficiency & impact of product promotions. The POC will present their findings and recommendations to achieving business & customer related objectives at regularly scheduled meetings.

The Promotional Optimization Consultant is expected to make recommendations for offer optimization and if necessary, trade off changes between departments, marketing channels and calendar events. This role offers a high level of autonomy while delivering quality and efficiency in the promotional program.
