Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Project Manager on a 6-month contract.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for establishing and directing IT projects initiated by the Accountable Executive, including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, business acquisition and integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployment.
  • Manage highly complex, large-scale projects spanning multiple functions and business groups; maintain primary project relationship with senior executives; ensure successful business outcomes as the primary measure of success.
  • Managing team members from business and technology
  • Understanding and negotiating task schedules and work assignments to identify priority actions
  • Itemizing tasks
  • Managing schedules from a 6- to 18-month window
  • Following up with individuals on their tasks
  • Tracking issues and escalating as needed
  • Maintaining a strategic view of the process and business details; understanding proper steps
  • Experience with standard data center and cloud-based infrastructure builds would be beneficial
  • Finance / Enterprise Risk / Capital Markets business background understanding
  • Think through solutions from a business context and articulate reasons for actions clearly
  • Create MS Project schedules
  • Present and negotiate with CIO-level stakeholders
  • Should have worked on the project for over a year
  • Blend of business and technology expertise
  • Ability to make decisions within a governance structure
