Overview

Axess Americas, the North American division of Team Axess (Salzburg, Austria), is a global leader in access control and ticketing solutions for ski resorts, sports venues, amusement parks, and fitness clubs. We are seeking a highly organized, technically savvy Project Manager to lead multiple customer implementations across North America. This role requires regular travel to client sites and occasional travel to Axess headquarters in Austria. Candidates must be located near a major airport and possess a valid passport.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager at Axess, you will lead the planning, execution, and support of system implementations for new and existing clients. This role is ideal for a project management professional with resort or hospitality industry experience and a strong understanding of IT systems, including ticketing, point of sale, resort operations, and e-commerce platforms. The position encompasses a wide variety of tasks and is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys managing multiple projects, products, and priorities simultaneously. You will serve as a hands-on technical leader, coordinating cross-functional teams across Axess Americas and Austria, while working closely with internal stakeholders, technology partners, and customers to deliver successful projects. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent client projects.
  • Define project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource needs.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate system installation, configuration, testing, and customer training.
  • Provide technical support of Axess software platforms and hardware.
  • Collaborate with technical services and support teams across multiple locations.
  • Understand and support basic network configuration and troubleshooting (IP, ports, connectivity).
  • Track issues, changes, and risks; ensure timely resolution and escalation when needed.
  • Participate in internal project reviews and continuous process improvement.
  • Occasionally assist with support and go-live activities during weekends or holidays.
  • Support and assist with interface troubleshooting.

Required Skills
  • 3–5 years of project management and implementation experience in technology, IT, or resort/hospitality environments.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including Windows troubleshooting, basic SQL and database management knowledge and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience working with technical teams and customer-facing deployments.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Physical ability to participate in the onsite commissioning of Axess solutions in indoor and outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or other project management certification (a plus)
  • Experience with ticketing, POS, access control, or resort systems in the ski or hospitality industry.
  • Basic SQL or database knowledge
