Caron equipment Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Civil/Mining Project Manager to lead and manage our local teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, team management, safety compliance, quality control, risk management, contract management, environmental compliance, communication and reporting and problem solving.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Lead and supervise project teams
  • Ensure all safety regulations and requirements are met on the job site, and promote a culture of safety among project team members
  • Oversee the quality of work on the project site to ensure that all work is done to the required standard and specifications
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Communicate project status, progress, and issues to the client and management team
  • Ensure project deliverable meet or exceed client expectations
  • Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules during construction
  • Continuously evaluating the workplace for safety & environmental concerns and ensuring behavioral safety initiative are performed to code
  • The ability to building relationships and managing clients
  • Identify and address issues and challenges that arise during the course of the project, and find creative and effective solutions to keep the project on track
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, team management, safety compliance, quality control, and risk management.
  • Experience managing projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Experience managing budgets and resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • The ability to lead the project team to ensure that the next steps are identified, assigned, and scheduled at all stages of the project.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities to work effectively on residential and commercial projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
