Position Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager vacancy. The applicant will be responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and managerial aspects of projects, leading the project to successful completion within safety and profitability targets, and ensuring client and CPC Engineering requirements are met.

Education and Experience
  • Appropriate levels of Project Management qualifications.
  • Preferably a trade qualification, or relevant, with regards to engineering.
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
  • Experience Project Manager in an engineering environment.
  • Ability to present and communicate across all channels.
  • Contract Management ability.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Successful management of CPC Engineering Projects to ensure completion of tasks as per project specification, zero harm to anyone involved, and agreed levels or better profitability.
  • Project engineering schedules and forecasts.
  • Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables.
  • Regular project status reports and change orders.
  • Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects.
  • Requires extensive regular contact with assigned project clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
  • Participating in client / contractor meetings and resolving client / engineering and management project issues.
  • Effective accounting skills such as budget monitoring and trend tracking, profit & loss accountability, review and approve project client invoices, procurement, cost control and efficiency savings.
Technical / Systems Knowledge
  • Project Management processes and procedures.
  • Recognised qualification in Project Management.
  • High level of computer skills regarding project management software.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes, specifically in relation to mining.
