We’re looking for a senior leader to join our team and take the lead on our senior living projects based in the Vancouver area. Reporting directly to the Director, Construction, this senior‑level role will oversee a portfolio of third‑party projects, maintaining strong client relationships throughout the entire project life cycle.

This position is responsible for managing construction from pre‑construction through to completion, providing guidance and support to project teams to ensure schedules, budgets, safety, quality standards, and processes are consistently met. Success in this role will require effective problem solving, risk mitigation, trade management, and relationship building, with a focus on driving overall project excellence.

  • Engage with Customer to understand, measure and exceed customer expectations

  • Deploy Marcon’s operations system and continuous improvement strategy
  • Ensure effective and consistent utilization of construction processes and technologies across all sites
Strategy
  • Participate in Marcon’s business and operations strategy development
Project delivery
  • Achievement of P&L objectives of the business unit
  • Effective cross‑functional integration of Marcon’s project delivery
  • Planning and delivery of construction projects, achieving key metrics
  • Organizational health and safety compliance
  • Brand protection
  • Review and approval of contracts, ensure contract compliance by project team
  • Effective selection and deployment of key trades
  • Review and approval of proposals, estimates, plans and high‑level schedules
  • Control of schedule and budgets from development to project completion
  • Accurate monthly reporting to both the Customer and Marcon
About You
  • 5+ years of senior project management experience in the construction industry.
  • College diploma or university degree in related field, PMP certification an asset.
  • Sound understanding of contractual and financial functions on projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), industry practices, estimating/budgeting, scheduling, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to lead and motivate construction teams.
  • Ability to resolve project disputes.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Project. Technologically savvy, able to learn new programs quickly
