The British Columbia Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU) is seeking a Project Coordinator 2, Drug Checking Partner Engagement to join our Drug Checking Program team and help shape the future of substance use care.As a research centre of the Providence Health Care Research Institute and a University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine Centre, the BCCSU is at the forefront of substance use research, education, and care. We are committed to advancing substance use policies and care in BC by translating research into education and evidence-based care guidance. By supporting the collaborative development of evidence-based policies, guidelines and standards, BCCSU seeks to improve the integration of best practices and care across the continuum of substance use. Reporting to the Drug Checking Program Lead, the Project Coordinator 2 supports the drug checking community of practice and partnership network by facilitating knowledge mobilization, partnership engagement and developing documentation in accordance with applicable policies, standards, procedures, and protocols.

Skills and Abilities: • Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including adapting verbal and written communication to suit a wide variety of audiences. • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels internally and externally.• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment under deadlines.• Ability to prioritize, and to plan, coordinate, and organize work. • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of and sensitivity to diversity issues.• Computer literacy including experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and reference management software.
