Job description
Overview

Strike's Project Coordinators provide technical and administrative support to the Construction Management team. The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing cost activities, subcontractor alignment and estimating construction projects of all sizes. The Project Coordinator analyzes, and forecasts project costs and provides detailed project information related to contractual schedule, scope and cost, recommending improvements or corrective actions for the project. The Project Coordinator also assists with identifying and the development of change orders.

Core Accountabilities
  • Assist project manager and superintendent with project performance (cost, schedule, administration, time entry).
  • Support construction coordination, planning, risk identification, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys for contract progress and reporting.
  • Maintain trade partner relationships by issuing tender packages, defining scopes, answering inquiries, and monitoring progress.
  • Assist with change management, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost/schedule impacts.
  • Administer requests for information, shop drawings, and submittal processes.
  • Support project closeout, including document archiving, maintenance, and warranty.
  • Identify and resolve field technical issues.
Qualifications
Education
  • Applicable Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma in engineering or construction management
Experience
  • 3-5 years of construction industry experience
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
  • Willing to travel and work at project sites across Saskatchewan.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, materials, quality, safety, sequences, and building codes.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving principles to construction challenges and propose solutions.
  • Capable of creating schedules and administering subcontracts/contract documents.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude for new technology.
