PSCA 2024 Specified Calling Level 3 / 4, up to $157,135 gross per annum + super + benefits

Part Time (20 hours per week) - Permanent

  • Position to be reviewed in 12 months with the potential for it to be increased to full-time hours and / or a job‑share
About the role

The Professional Practice Supervisor (Social Work) provides expert supervisory support to Legal Aid WA allied social support staff in their work with colleagues to provide holistic client care. In this role, you will act as a mentor for these staff, assisting them to build and strengthen their professional practice in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Work ("AASW") Practice Standard 8 (Professional Supervision).

About you

You are an experienced social worker professional with a clear understanding of contemporary professional and practice issues, legislation, and policy relating to Social Work. You have demonstrated knowledge of the social and emotional issues experienced by clients in legal matters and of working with children and families who are at high risk of exposure to abuse including from family and domestic violence. You can mentor and guide colleagues and are adept at working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
