Job description

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company is looking for Production Workers/Assemblers to start as soon as possible, at their Mississauga location.

Full time positions. This position includes manual general labour duties with continuous heavy lifting upto 50 lbs required.

Location: Highway 401 and Mississauga Rd (Mississauga, ON)

All 3 Shifts Available:
  • Morning shift 6:00 am-2:30 pm
  • Afternoon shift 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
  • Night shift 10:00 pm -6:30 am
Shift Pay:
  • Morning shift - Base pay $19.63/hr + 4% vacation pay
  • Afternoon shift - Base pay $19.63/hr + 4% vacation pay
  • Night shift - Base pay $20.21/hr + 4% vacation pay
Responsibilities:
  • Perform General Assembly and other operations, and inspection. Training will be provided.
  • Perform production work to assemble or fabricate a product or sub-assembly in accordance with team production goals. May perform work manually and/or by machine operation.
  • Ensures product and process quality and efficiency through appropriate inspection and continuous improvement problem‑solving activities.
  • Maintains procedures and standards to provide compliance with quality standards for assigned areas.
  • Report any unsafe condition or action or work related injury to his or her supervisor.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Understand responsibility for health and safety.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as necessary in support of team objectives.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an Assembler or Machine Operator is preferred within manufacturing or warehouse distribution.
  • Basic math skills and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Must have:
  • CSA approved steel‑toed safety shoes/boots, safety glasses, safety vest and earplugs. Must be comfortable wearing them all the time while working.
  • Must be able to work full time 40 hours every week.
  • Must be eligible to work legally in Canada.
  • Can work in‑person and stand for longer period of time as required.
