We are seeking a driven and experienced Production Manager to lead the day-to-day operations at our Winnipeg-based facility. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends production oversight, logistics coordination, and continuous improvement with strategic input into sourcing and facility management.
Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations at the production facility, including scheduling, procurement, shipping, safety, and facility maintenance. A key component of this role is identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, safety, and product quality.
You will be expected to take a hands-on approach— working closely with staff on the floor, leading by example, and collaborating with internal departments to support the broader strategic goals of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Provide hands-on support with production, shipping, receiving, and maintenance as needed
- Develop and maintain production and labor schedules to meet demand and maximize efficiency
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate and timely execution
- Lead in-house safety and process training programs to reduce dependency on external trainers
- Identify and implement process changes and new process development to improve quality, efficiency, and safety
Procurement & Logistics
- Source raw materials, negotiate pricing, and place orders to ensure steady supply
- Conduct freight negotiations related to raw materials and finished goods
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor supply chain needs
- Track procurement costs and actively pursue cost-saving opportunities
Facility & Equipment Management
- Oversee general facility management, including vendor coordination and maintenance scheduling
- Support lease negotiations or building improvement plans as required
- Schedule and manage contract work on an as-needed basis
- Coordinate CAPEX planning, including ROI analysis and justification for new or retooled processes
Leadership & Collaboration
- Support HR in implementing new policies and procedures at the facility level
- Collaborate closely with the technical team to provide support and align production goals
- Maintain clear visibility into overheads and cost structures, supporting company-wide financial goals
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability within the production team
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a production, operations, or manufacturing leadership role
- Strong understanding of production processes, inventory control, and logistics
- Demonstrated experience with raw material sourcing and vendor negotiations
- Knowledge of CAPEX planning, ROI analysis, and facility management
- Experience leading safety programs and in-house training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic inventory or ERP software systems
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of environmental or industrial products is a strong asset

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (onsite) at our Winnipeg facility
- Weekend availability may be required occasionally for urgent maintenance or shipments
Pay: Range $65,000.00–$90,000.00 per year (commensurate with experience, open to discussion)
Start Date: Position to be filled ASAP – ideally before October 3, 2025
