Job description

Our client is a successful metal fabrication company with a long history of providing quality metal fabricated products are currently recruiting for a Production Manager Days for their Cambridge Plant.

Reporting to the GM, the Production Manager is responsible for 2 shifts through 3 Production Supervisors and for a plant roughly 200 people in size. Ensure safety, productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction goals are met or exceeded across all plant production operations to achieve company objectives.

Required Skills:

• Employed for at least 7 years with a manufacturing company
• At least 3 years of experience as a Production Manager
• Employed for at least 3 years with a metal fabrication company that uses manual welding, CNC, assembly and/or paint processes
• Good knowledge of production processes, measurement & inspection procedures, production planning and control, budget process, MS Office and Visual
• Ability to supervise and manage a diverse workforce.
• Strong verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills
• Experienced and knowledgeable in Safety and Health systems
• A high degree of understanding of manufacturing systems and the ability to lead a diverse group of people.
• Ability to drive employee engagement and team-oriented operations focused on goal alignment.
• Ability to read and comprehend engineered schematics and detailed blueprints.
• Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, concepts, and experience
• Knowledge of ISO standards.
