Role Overview

The Product & Project Manager (PPM) is the manager of all product information, market intelligence, and development lifecycles at Bureau. This dual-function role is responsible for managing product information systems and informing strategy, while simultaneously driving the operational execution of the New Product Development (NPD) process. The PPM ensures project timelines are met, resources are optimized, and suppliers are performing to standard. You ensure the company has the right data to make decisions and the operational rigor to bring those decisions to market on time and on budget. As we work with hybrid model (3 days in office), only applicants who live in Vancouver, BC will be considered for this role. Sponsorship is not available at this time.

Key Responsibilities
1. New Product Development (NPD) & Process Ownership
  • Act as the process manager of New Products ensuring projects move through stage-gates efficiently.
  • Create and maintain master project schedules, defining critical paths for product launches.
  • Manage day-to-day team tasks and project timelines, ensuring all stakeholders (Team coordination, Design, Engineering, Marketing) stay on track.
  • Track team bandwidth and allocate resources effectively to prevent bottlenecks in the development cycle.
2. Supplier Liaison & Performance
  • Act as a bridge between the internal Design/Product team and external manufacturing partners/suppliers supporting the design Director and Head of Product.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance regarding quality, lead times, and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Align supplier production schedules with internal GTM (Go-to-Market) timelines.
3. Product Information & Asset Management (PIM & AIR)
  • Own, structure, and maintain all product information across Bureau’s product portfolio.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of all product data within the company PIM/ERP and Asset Manager (AIR).
  • Develop and enforce product data standards, naming conventions, and version-control practices.
4. Portfolio Analysis & Market Insights
  • Conduct competitive price benchmarking and feature analysis.
  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking sales metrics by product type and geography to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Identify underperforming variants and recommend data-driven actions to Leadership.
5. Knowledge Management & Internal Enablement
  • Build and manage the Bureau Product Knowledge Hub (P-Hub) to centralize issues, solutions, and product FAQs.
  • Lead the implementation of the Knowledge Hub company-wide, ensuring Sales and Operations have "one source of truth."
6. Go-to-Market (GTM) Coordination & Documentation
  • Align launch timelines, messaging, and readiness materials across Compliance, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Coordinate the development of technical sheets, installation manuals, and specification sheets.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional ability to manage complex timelines, dependencies, and resource allocation.
  • High proficiency in information management and data structure.
  • Able to simplify complex technical topics for diverse stakeholders (Sales to Supply Chain).
  • Comfort working with large datasets to drive strategic product decisions.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Project Manager for physical products.
  • Proven track record of owning a product development process from concept to commercialization.
  • Experience with office furniture, acoustic products, architectural systems, or similar technical interior products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Architecture. A Diploma or Certification in Project Management (PMP/CAPM) or an MBA is preferred.

This role comes with a base salary in the range of $85,000-$115,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package including:
