The KONEK team has one goal – Enable Canadians to pay who they want, how they want, easily. In-store, online, or in-person. Big Box retailer to your dog walker, the KONEK wallet enables all of these capabilities and more in one easy-to-use product.

As a member of the KONEK Wallet team, you will be responsible for the complete planning, build out, and deployment of the KONEK in-store checkout experience. Leveraging technologies like Host Card Emulation and Enhanced Secure Element, you will deliver a compelling and feature-complete tap-to-pay experience that complements the online and in-person payment capabilities of the KONEK mobile wallet.

Working with your KONEK Product Managers peers, you will collaborate to seamlessly blend additional KONEK capabilities into the In-Store/In-Person payment experience. "Pay with Points", “Buy Now Pay Later”, and “Age/Vital Detail Verification” are just some of the possible capabilities you and your team may deliver.

Responsibilities
  • Own the roadmap and delivery of specific features or small product areas.
  • Drive the delivery of product features end-to-end, including scoping, planning, and cross-functional execution.
  • Partner with engineering and design teams to define, prioritize, and deliver high-quality, user-centric features.
  • Effectively communicate the strategic value, ROI, required dependencies to internal and external stakeholders, and policy makers.
  • Execute on HCE/ESE buildout, and enable In-Store checkout capability for KONEK Wallet.
  • Collaborate with marketing, support, analytics, and operations to deliver and optimize go-to-market plans for product launches.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback, market insights, and internal input.
  • Write clear, detailed product requirements and user stories that translate customer needs into executable work for engineering and design.
  • Define success metrics and analyze post-launch performance; identify improvements based on data and user feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement through iteration and experimentation.
  • Work in partnership with External communications and Legal Teams to advocate for fair and balanced to OEM devices.
  • Deliver (in partnership with other KONEK PMs) on converged payment strategy.
  • Contribute to product vision and strategic planning with awareness of long-term impact.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for lobbying efforts with the Canadian Bankers Association, Canadian Issuers,
You bring
  • 7+ years of product management or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of digital payment products, NFC (HCE/ESE), QR codes, as well as alternative payment technologies.
  • Understanding of debit/credit/pre-paid payments as well as push/real-time payment systems.
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems, reconciliation and settlement, acquiring.
  • Ability to collaborate on, design, and deliver solutions that live at the intersection of multiple competing needs.
  • Experience defining technical requirements (e.g., APIs, performance, latency) and evaluating tradeoffs with engineering teams.
  • Working knowledge of agile delivery processes, product analytics, and experimentation methods (e.g., A/B testing).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into product solutions.
  • Proven ability to deliver features or improvements that meet customer needs and business goals.
  • History delivering solutions within a constraint-based system.
  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
