This role is flexible to be office based in the BHP Exploration Head Office in Toronto, Canada. However, other global Exploration office locations will be considered.

The Principal Generative Geoscientist will undertake 4D integrated geoscience workflows to enable and support the selection and prioritization of new Porphyry and Basin-hosted Copper system Concepts at a global- to regional belt-scale, delivering high ‑ quality exploration options to BHP’s Exploration teams. The role is accountable for rigorous data integration, analysis, and interpretation to inform strategic business decisions, grounded in a strong Mineral Systems approach. In addition, the position provides technical guidance in 4D geoscience and supports the development and maintenance of a robust and healthy exploration portfolio.
This is a senior global technical position that reports directly to the Manager Global Generative Concepts and is part of a team of five geoscientists based in North America. The role also collaborates extensively with stakeholders based in BHP office locations globally.
