Job summary

A leading power line construction company in Canada is looking for an Apprentice Technician. The role involves installation, construction, and maintenance of power lines, requiring a valid Journeyman or Apprentice Power Line Technician Trade card from the Saskatchewan Trades & Apprenticeship Commission. Candidates should possess a Class 1A or Class 5 license, be able to lift tools over 50 pounds, and travel across Saskatchewan. Previous experience with relevant machinery is an asset and safety-sensitive procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyman or Apprentice Power Line Technician Trade card required.
  • Class 1A or Class 5 license needed.
  • Must have experience operating relevant machinery.
  • Ability to lift heavy tools over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work long shifts in all weather.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground power lines.
  • Operate various hand and power tools for construction.
  • Follow safety procedures and report violations to the foreman.
  • Travel extensively across Saskatchewan.
