A prominent university in Canada is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow focused on VLSI circuit and chip development. The successful candidate will engage in independent research including the development of microcontrollers and Open FPGAs. Responsibilities include design tasks, collaboration with PhD students, and manuscript preparation for publication. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in circuit design and experience in VLSI. The position is full-time, based on campus, and is rooted in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Develop RISC-V related microcontroller and Open FPGA.
Reporting to Professor Li Chen, the successful candidate will conduct high-quality research within a group of researchers (Ph.D. students and a Postdoctoral Fellow).
Design, chip layout, prototype design and preparation of manuscripts for publication in high impact journals. Other duties as assigned.
Ph.D. or equivalent research experience in analog and digital circuit design, mix-signal chip layout.
Experience in VLSI circuit design, knowledge in radiation effects in integrated circuits will be a plus.
Demonstrated ability to undertake independent research evidenced by publications, and development of new research initiatives. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a research team. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and industry.
