Job summary

A prominent university in Canada is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow focused on VLSI circuit and chip development. The successful candidate will engage in independent research including the development of microcontrollers and Open FPGAs. Post-Doctoral Fellow, VLSI Circuit and Chip Development
Primary Purpose

Develop RISC-V related microcontroller and Open FPGA.

Nature of Work

Reporting to Professor Li Chen, the successful candidate will conduct high-quality research within a group of researchers (Ph.D. students and a Postdoctoral Fellow).

Typical Duties or Accountabilities

Design, chip layout, prototype design and preparation of manuscripts for publication in high impact journals. Other duties as assigned.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent research experience in analog and digital circuit design, mix-signal chip layout.

Experience

Experience in VLSI circuit design, knowledge in radiation effects in integrated circuits will be a plus.

Skills

Demonstrated ability to undertake independent research evidenced by publications, and development of new research initiatives. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a research team. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and industry.
