Job Overview
A Police Services Records Clerk provides general guidance and administrative assistance to internal and external clients. The role involves data entry, maintenance, storage, and retrieval of information within police database systems and hard copy files and provides coverage for other Police Services positions such as Police Services Watch Clerk and Police Services Clerk.
Responsibilities
- Processes and responds to requests from RCMP members, authorized police agencies, and the general public.
- Responsible for accurate and timely entry, verification, and maintenance of information into police databases.
- Evaluates and relays pertinent information to authorized personnel.
- Creates files for dissemination and dispatching to police personnel.
- Conducts file audits and ensures all information entered, accessed, and relayed to others conforms to RCMP and Police Services standards and procedures.
- Maintains a large onsite hard copy filing system; lifts and moves files when necessary.
- Multi‑tasks, prioritizes workload, and manages timelines.
- Performs general clerical administrative duties: prepares and types documents, courier packages, mail, correspondence, reports, presentations, minutes, invoices, and assists with training, etc., using various databases and computer applications.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Experience (with front‑line customer service preferred).
- RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance.

Pay Rate
Starts at $31.81 per hour with 2 step progressions to $35.83 per hour.
Working Conditions
Days of Work: 4 on 4 off, Standard Hours per Day: 12.
