A leading agricultural company is seeking a Plant Operator in Canada, New Brunswick. This role involves operating equipment such as Powered Industrial Trucks and front end loaders to safely move and manage materials. Candidates should have at least one year of experience with heavy equipment and possess basic math skills. The position may require working on weekends or holidays. Successful applicants will ensure a safe work environment, monitor stockpiles, and assist in maintaining effective inventory control.
The Plant Operator is responsible for operating Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), front end loaders or other equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, count merchandise, move around finished palleted goods including loading/unloading trucks and flatbeds, prepares organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader, pushes or relocates piles to ensure segregation of materials. Supplies production with a continuous supply of material. Monitors stockpiles for excessive heat, turns stockpiles, extinguishes small fires and ensures the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use.
The Plant Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.
The Plant Operator may be required to work on holidays and weekends from time to time.
