Reports to: Plant Care Supervisor

Position Summary

With the direction from the Plant Care Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who displays strong attention to detail, a dedication to learning, and ability to manage change in a fast-paced work environment. The Plant Care Technician will work closely with the Plant Care Supervisor in tending to a devoted area of the operation.

This position requires physical demands such as reaching, bending, walking, standing, performing repetitive work and lifting to 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Various crop care, including transporting, de-leafing, pruning, watering, pinching and also harvesting plants;
  • Installs and adjusts trellis for optimal cannabis growth and according to standard;
  • Carefully monitors the health of the plants for proper care;
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of production area;
  • Cleans and sanitizes equipment, and work areas, etc as per Health Canada standards;
  • Organizes and maintains materials, restocks supplies when needed;
  • Prepares reports and general documentation as required;
  • Successful completion of Fall Arrest and Scissor Lift Operation training
  • Proper adherence to and maintenance of PPE (bump cap, cut resistant gloves, eyewear)
  • Maintain job skills by ensuring that current best practices reflect departmental WIs.
  • Understand and follow departmental best practices and WIs when assigned as support.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
