Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

The Pipefitter is involved in the Fabrication of Pipe spools from 4"-30"

Anticipated Start: 2025-12-17

Location: Edmonton, AB Fabrication Shop

Shift: 4&3 Days or Nights, Mon-Thurs, OT available on Fridays

Rate: $45.30 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, and education and training)

JOB DUTIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Fit pipe using shop control drawings (acorn)
• Fabrication experience is an asset
• Tack weld fitting components
• Prepping/grinding factory beveled pipe ends
• Utilize elbow jigs and external clamps whenever possible
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned such as operating skid steer

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be an Alberta ticketed journeyman (or hold a journeyman certificate recognized by AIT)
• CSTS-09 and/or CSTS-20
• Confined Space Ticket
• Overhead Crane and Rigging Ticket
• Tacking & Fabrication Shop experience is considered an asset
• Shop hydro experience is considered an asset
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
• Organized and self-motivated
• Pipefitters with bench fab shop experience is essential w/tacking experience
