Recruitment Incentives

About The Opportunity

The Physiotherapist reports to the Rehabilitation Services Manager and assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in a tertiary care setting with impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. Responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing tests, developing holistic treatment programs using exercises, education, manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques, and collaborating with other health disciplines.

This role involves supervising and evaluating physiotherapy students, assistants, and aides, and working as part of a clinical team to achieve shared goals.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists
  • Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Outlook)
  • Annual CPR (BCLS) certification
  • WHMIS training and certification
  • Additional training in specialized areas such as cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, balance training, etc.
  • Competencies in other languages, especially French, are assets

Hours

Various employment types are available across Nova Scotia, including permanent, temporary assignments, and casual relief (no guaranteed hours). Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. You can specify your work hours and location preferences in the application.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $36.58 - $47.35

Benefits include health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance, along with a defined benefit pension plan.
