Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy, you will be responsible for providing a variety of services including medication distribution, (order entry, dispensing, checking and delivery), manufacturing and sterile product preparation, including chemotherapy.

Education Requirements
  • Registered by Ontario College of Pharmacists
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Experience in a computerized pharmacy environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a team focus
  • Self-directed individual with the ability to work both independently and within an inter professional team
  • Mature, reliable individual with excellent attendance record
  • Creative problem solver with a customer focus and patient friendly approach
  • Good understanding of medication safety and quality assurance
  • Proven critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
Preferred Competencies
  • Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts
  • Chemotherapy preparation experience
  • Experience in IV Preparation
  • Keyboarding skills utilizing PC applications for reports and special assignments
  • Experience in a hospital pharmacy environment
