Job summary

A healthcare provider in Nipigon Township is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a permanent part-time role. Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized Community College Pharmacy Technician Program
  • Graduate of a Registered Health Care Provider Medication Administration Program
  • Graduate of a Registered Practical Nursing Program or Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Previous pharmacy experience would be considered an asset
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • High level of initiative and self-direction
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attendance record is imperative
Responsibilities
  • Under the direction and guidance of the Pharmacy Assistant Lead, provide and maintain the operation of the Pharmacy Department according to current legislative requirements.
  • Provide pharmacy services in the absence of the Pharmacy Assistant Lead.
  • Aid, support, and direction to the physicians and nursing staff to promote the safe distribution, administration, and storage of medications within the facility.
  • Perform other related tasks, as required.
